Chevin has produced a single Equality and Diversity ‘Framework' which reflects the priorities and concerns of the communities that we serve. We focus on six diversity ‘strands':

Religion or Belief
Sexual orientation
Working with residents and staff we have produced a Disability Equality Scheme and action plan to promote equality of opportunity for people with a disability and to take steps to improve our services with the needs of disabled people in mind.

In 2007/08 we developed a Gender Equality Scheme and action plan to help promote equality between the sexes.
