Refurbishment of my home
Chevin has a rolling programme of works to existing properties. Our Asset Strategy Manager is responsible for driving forward the programme.
We have a group of interested residents who are working with staff on monitoring and assessing the programme and who have helped develop a set of service standards that have now been published . These standards set out what each party (Chevin, residents, & the contractor) will do and what the expectations are of them.
Over the next 18 months we will be carrying out works needed to comply with the Decent Homes Standard (a legal requirement) . Beyond that the programme will continue dealing with stock condition issues and introducing improvements to make our stock more energy efficient.
If your home is about to be refurbished you may be interested in viewing our DVD (approx 11 minutes) which has been produced in partnership with Bramall Construction. The DVD explains what happens when we refurbish your home and takes you through each of the stages to help you prepare for the works. Following refurbishment works all residents are asked to complete a survey form showing their satisfaction with the service and the products fitted. The scoring runs from 0 (lowest level of satisfaction) to 5 (highest level of satisfaction), we aim to score "4" or above on every aspect.
