Tenant Board Members
Board members are directly involved in the governance of the organisation, working with other non-tenant volunteer board members and senior staff. To be a board member specific experience, knowledge and skills are required along with training and an understanding of Chevin's policies, aims and business objectives.

JOHN CHARLESWORTH - TENANT BOARD MEMBER
John left school at the age of 15 and became a lorry drivers mate until 1958. After that he went on to work in an abbatoir until 1964, before moving on to the Post Office and finally working in engineering at the Chesterfield Tube Company.
John retired from the company in 1995 and since then he has become a member of several Crown Green bowling clubs.
John has always been interested in housing association work and joined Chevin's Sheffield residents' panel in 2000. He remains a member of this panel, along with being a member of the editorial panel and sitting on various other sub-groups.
In 2010 John was elected as a Board member of the Chevin Parent Board.
JENNY CLARE - TENANT BOARD MEMBER
Since retiring from teaching Jenny has worked as a school governor, a town councillor, a member of a district standard board and a trustee of a youth group.
Jenny was elected as a Board member of the Chevin Parent Board and the Harewood Housing Society Board since 2003. Jenny was elected vice chair of the Harewood Board in 2007.
