Training Opportunities
Chevin offers various training courses to residents, some of which are provided in-house with staff taking the lead. Other training courses and one-off sessions are provided by professional training companies off-site.
We pay for some of our residents to attend themed courses held at the National Communities Resource Centre as well as local training opportunities provided by Tenant and Resident Federations.
Chevin also runs a Tenant Training Scheme, the aim of which is to improve residents' job prospects by helping with costs when learning a new skill or studying for a qualification.
If you live in a Chevin property we may be able to sponsor you to study for a qualification. We can help by:
- Paying your course fees
- Reimbursing your travel costs & childcare or carer costs (where applicable)
- Paying for any books or materials that you require for your course
To be considered for this scheme your proposed course will:
- Be a recognised course run by, for example, a school, college, university, or be a home study course
- Help you to improve your job or promotion prospects
