Disability Focus Group
Chevin has made a commitment to ensuring that our customers with a disability have fair and equal access to our services. Chevin is also dedicated to improving access to employment for people with a disability and supporting the career development of staff with a disability. In 2007 staff and resident members of our Disability Focus Group helped us to compile our Disability Equality Scheme and to develop our first action plan. Since then the Focus Group has helped Chevin compile a new action plan each year by helping us to identify the areas that we need to improve.
Our Disability Focus Group meets on a six monthly basis to review progress against the action plan. If you would like to join the Group, please contact Deborah Colclough, Policy Officer on 0114 2417728 or d.colclough@chevinha.co.uk
We are always looking for new members to join the Group.
The next meeting had been planned for Thursday 28th January 2010. However, in light of the adverse weather conditions, we have postponed the event until Thursday 11th March.
