We are committed to continuously improving the services that we provide to our customers and the working environment of our staff. We want people and organisations we work with to see us as promoting diversity and equality and be a leading example of good practice.
The Equality and Diversity Steering Group was formed in 2005 and the Group has co-ordinated and overseen significant progress in the area of equality and diversity.
Chevin has produced a single Equality and Diversity Scheme and Action Plan which reflects the priorities and concerns of the communities that we serve and focuses on the 9 'protected characteristics' as outlined in the Equality Act (2010) - age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, race, pregnancy & maternity, religion & belief, and sexual orientation.
