- The Chevin Housing Group was formed in 2001 and consists of Chevin Housing Association, Harewood Housing Society and Synergy Housing Solutions Ltd.
- The oldest founder member of the Group was Ebor Housing Association formed in 1974.
- In 2004, the Group formed the Synergy Partnership which consists of 8 regionally based housing associations with Chevin being the lead Partner coming together to become a development partner for Yorkshire and the Humber. The group work together on developments across the region and work with the Homes and Community Agency to deliver affordable housing options. Synergy Housing Solutions Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chevin Housing Group and is responsible for the delivery of the housing development programme on behalf of the Synergy members.
- Chevin operate across Yorkshire, the Humber, North Nottinghamshire, North East Derbyshire and the North West.
- The Group manage 7,000 rented and 1,600 leasehold homes which include 890 private sector flats'.
- Our Head office is in Wakefield, West Yorkshire but we also have staff based in Sheffield, Selby, Bridlington, Leeds and Hull.
- An inspection by the Audit Commission in November 2006 reported that Chevin provides a good 2 star service with promising prospects for improvement.
- We employ over 200 people in a variety of roles across the region.
- Over 350 tenants and residents are involved in the management of the Group through a variety of opportunities. These include resident panels, mystery shoppers, armchair panel and Board membership.

- We have a dedicated Care and Repair Service for private tenants and residents who need aids and adaptations to properties to help them with their everyday tasks.

- We have a Supported Housing Department that look after our Extra Care Schemes and Supported Housing needs.
- We have an Anti Social Behaviour Team who work closely throughout the region with Police and community representatives to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime on housing estates.

- Our most recent surveys show that 83% of tenants are satisfied with the services we provide and we have a commitment to the continual improvement of our services.
