Investment in your home

Investment in your homeChevin has a rolling programme of works to existing properties which is well underway. Our Re-investment Manager is responsible for driving forward the programme.

We have a group of interested residents who are working with staff on monitoring and assessing the programme and who have started by looking at drawing up a set of service standards. These standards set out what each party (Chevin, residents, the contractor) will do and what the expectations are of them.

This group is also looking at the Chevin standard - what standard do we expect to achieve in our properties when investing in them. The group will monitor progress and feedback from the schemes where work has been carried out.

Over the next 18 months we will be carrying out works needed to comply with the Decent Homes Standard but also going beyond that standard and dealing with stock condition issues. Expenditure will be over £8m in that period.
