Development programme wins second dark green light
Chevin Housing Group has upped its Housing Corporation assessment rating from one to two dark green lights thanks to a strong development programme.
The organisation's subsidiary Synergy Housing Solutions Ltd which leads the Synergy development partnership of eight other housing associations received an allocation of £38.2 million to produce 886 homes in Yorkshire and the Humber, and £700,000 to produce 20 homes in the North West, in the 2006/08 funding round.
In 2006-2008 (Year 1 & 2) Chevin achieved £40.3 million cash spend - 103% of its target and completed 869 homes.

This award adds to the existing dark green light for Viability. The Group has a total of four green lights the others covering Management and Governance. The dark green rating represents that the housing association exceeds expectations against performance targets set by the Housing Corporation.
