Chris Cotton
Chris currently works as Markets Operations Manager for Kirklees Metropolitan Council. He worked for 17 year as as a Production worker at Grimethorpe Colliery, studied economics, political studies and industrial relations at Sheffield University and is a former Board member of the UK Housing Trust, formed to take on the management of ex British Coal stock in the region.
He has served as a parish councillor with particular interest in regeneration, community involvement and capacity building. Through this role and others he has significant experience of succesfully bidding for numerous sources of funding including European and coalfield regeneration funds to achieve community projects.
Chris has been a Board member since 1992 and was elected Chair of the Chevin Parent Board in 2007. He also serves on the Remuneration committee.
