David Green
David has had a distinguished career in municipal and civil engineering in local government including appointments as Deputy City Engineer with Plymouth City Council and Director of Works and later Director of Operational Services with Sheffield City Council.
In 1996 David was elected to the Presidency (1 year) of the Institution of Civil Engineers whereupon he left local government and became a Director with Mouchel (a national engineering consultancy) and subsequently an independent consulting municipal and civil engineer working with several local authorities and private sector companies on municipal engineering management, construction procurement, contractual issues and latterly partnering arrangements.
David has written several books on related topics and transportation and has lectured widely for many years.
Joining Chevin from the Hallam Board (2004) David was elected Vice Chair of the Chevin Parent Board in 2007. He is also a member of the Synergy Board and sits on the Chevin Audit committee.
