Ian Forbes
Ian joined the Chevin Board in 1999 following retirement from the post of Deputy Director of Environmental Health and Housing with Scarborough Borough Council, after 40 years in Local Government. For much of that time he was involved in the improvement of Council owned and privately owned housing, and was the Council's liaison officer with Housing Associations. Born and educated in Harrogate, Ian is married, and lives in Scarborough. He works part-time as a Quality Control Surveyor for home insulation schemes, and is a volunteer with Scarborough's Museums and Galleries Services.
His interests include reading and golf and he is a past President of Scarborough Rotary Club.
Ian has been a Board member of Chevin since 2000 and is also a member of the Operations Committee.
